Get ready to experience three fantabulous new attractions as CBeebies Land welcomes Hey Duggee’s Big Adventure Badge, Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig and JoJo & Gran Gran At Home! CBeebies fans can also enjoy two brand-new live shows with Bing and Flop as well as Hey Duggee in Big Fun Showtime. Plus Bingsters can experience the ultimate sleepover in the new Bing-themed bedrooms in the CBeebies Land Hotel.

The new attractions join our awesomely amazing rides and attractions adding even more fun and adventures! Are you bold enough to take on the Resort’s awesome choice of head-spinning, heart-pounding, world-class rollercoasters, like Wicker Man, Oblivion and The Smiler? Dare you add a visit to the Alton Towers Dungeons? Or will you take a spin on Grangsta Granny: The Ride?

Disabled Access
As part of Merlin's commitment to create experiences that are inclusive for all and to provide minimal wait times for those who need it most, we have introduced a pre-booking portal for our Ride Access Pass users.

Guests will be able to book three Ride Access Pass reservations at one time, and there are no changes to the criteria or documentation we accept for a Ride Access Pass.

If you haven’t yet got a Merlin Ride Access Pass, follow these steps…

  1. Register through Nimbus at least 7 days prior to your visit (Register here)
  2. Link your Access Card number to register for your Ride Access Pass here
  3. Input your passholder details/photo
  4. Pre-book your Ride Access Pass for your day visit (do this online using the new booking portal: www.accessibility.merlinentertainments.biz/)
  5. Pre-book your tickets
  6. For Thorpe Park & Alton Towers Resort visits, show your order number & Ride Access Pass Pre-book at the RAP Collection Hubs in Park to collect your timecard. For any visit to LEGOLAND Windsor, please simply log in to the Ride Access Pass system via rideaccesspass.co.uk on the day of your booked visit and redeem your Ride Access Pass entitlement.

Please ensure that you bring your E-Ticket for entry on arrival Please be ready to make on-site payments using a ‘contactless’ bank card, rather than cash where possible

Height guidance Under 90cm go for free. Please request ticket for anyone under 90cm at point of entry.

Disabled Access Rides and attractions have a variety of restrictions which are put in place to ensure guests safety. Each ride has its own set of restrictions which must be adhered to at all times, some of which are due to ride restraints, forces or sometimes due to additional requirements if the ride has stopped and guests are required to exit before reaching the station.

Directions

By Car

Alton Towers Resort is located between the M1 and the M6 and is well signposted from both motorways. Depending on your direction, the nearest motorway exits are:
M1 Northbound – Junction 23a
M1 Southbound – Junction 28
M6 Northbound – Junction 15
M6 Southbound – Junction 16

Please drive with care when you’re in the area, as there are many walkers, cyclists and horse riders, and the roads can be very thin in places.

Some Sat Nav systems may take you down a local farm track (especially if you’re coming from the B5417). Please follow the road signs for the last few miles.

Please be aware that the B5417 is closed until 8th May, guests arriving to the Resort from the Ashbourne direction should follow diversion signs

By Train

Visitors can travel to Alton Towers Resort by train, via several popular destinations.

Uttoxeter Train Station: Uttoxeter station is the nearest train station to Alton Towers, just 10 miles from the resort. Uttoxeter station is just a 20 minute drive away from the resort or 30 minutes by bus.

Stoke on Trent Station: Stoke on Trent rail station is 15 miles from Alton Towers Resort. A local taxi would take around 25 minutes to the resort.

Derby Train Station: Derby train station is around 25 miles from Alton Towers. From there you will need to order a taxi or a car service to arrive at the resort in around 50 minutes to one hour.

By Bus

D&G Bus operate the X41 which runs between Stafford - Uttoxeter - Alton Towers Resort, and the 32X which operates between Hanley - Cheadle - Alton Towers Resort.

Notts & Derby buses operate the X52 service which runs between Nottingham, Derby and the Alton Towers Resort.
